CBNL climb up Tech Track 100

Cambridge Broadband Networks have been named 38th in the 11th annual Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100.

This signifies the fourth year CBNL has been included in the league table of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK, making it only one of eight companies to have done so.

It also see’s the company climb 21 places on last year’s ranking.

The Tech Track 100 is an independent league table that ranks the top-performing privately-held technology companies, based on sales growth over the last three years.

The full list was announced in The Sunday Times, published on 18th September.

CBNL previously won the award outright in 2004, and continues to show strong growth having achieved sales of £27.8m in 2010.

Its multipoint microwave platform, VectaStar, has been deployed by mobile operators across Europe, Africa and Asia.

“Being recognised as one of the fastest growing UK companies three times is certainly a proud achievement.

"Being recognised for a fourth time and to see ourselves climb up the table is a testament to the dedicated and skilled team at CBNL,”

said Graham Peel, CEO, Cambridge Broadband Networks.

"With operators starting to deploy LTE networks now and looking to deploy small cell networks, we’re witnessing a wholesale change in mobile network technologies."

"This represents a new challenge and market opportunity for CBNL that will see us continue to develop innovative and alternative solutions for mobile network backhaul."

The Tech Track league table is compiled by Fast Track (www.fasttrack.co.uk) and is published in The Sunday Times each September.
